Hi, I’m Atique. Welcome to my corner on the internet! I am currently a Master’s student in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Dhaka, following my graduation in 2025.
Since 2023, I have been working as a Research Assistant (RA) at the Microsystems and Nanoengineering Lab under Dr. Ahsan Habib. My research interests include:
ML for Edge devicesReal-Time Computer VisionEmbedded Machine Learning & IoTM.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2019–Present)
CGPA: Not available yet!
Major: Communication Engineering
B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2019–2025)
CGPA: 3.72 out of 4
Major: Communication Engineering
Thesis: MASTCloudNet: IoT-Enabled Acoustic Trap with Real-Time AI Surveillance of Aedes
Research Assistant (2023–Present)
Real-time Computer Vision: I developed and deployed deep learning models (YOLOv5/v11) on edge devices like the Raspberry Pi and on servers for real-time object detection, achieving up to 98% accuracy and 0.92 mAP in specialized tasks.
Hardware Automation: I Designed and implemented firmware in Python and C for various microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32) to manage sensor data acquisition, actuator control, and wireless communication in IoT systems.
Scholarly Growth Beyond the technical parts, I’ve experienced the journey of academic discovery. The guidance of my supervisors helped me refine my approach to systematic literature reviews, manuscript preparation and research presentation.
Research Collaboration: I had the opportunity to work with collaborators spanning multiple departments. This allowed me to explore topics that I wouldn’t have encountered in my EE undergrad studies, e.g, the fascinating role of acoustic frequencies in the mosquito mating process, or the positive impact of ZnO nanoparticles on accelerating seedling growth.
